Sessiagh Lake The big fish! Horse Riding in Dunfanaghy

  • Fishing Go fishing on Sessiagh Lake in Port Na Blagh (just across the road from the house. Obtain half or full day's fishing permit from Arnolds Hotel in Dunfanaghy. This entitles you to use of the boats.
  • Golf on nearby Dunfanaghy Golf Club.
  • Sea Sport. Plenty of dive sites - Visit Sheephaven Sub Aqua Club in Downings.
  • Horse Riding. There is horseriding in Dunfanaghy.
  • Tory Island. Catch the boat to Tory Island - full of history.
  • Forests. Ards Forest Park, between Creeslough and Portnablagh is beautiful to cyle through. Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe.

  • Mountains to climb. Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in Donegal is a challenging climb and you can see for miles once on top on a clear day. Muckish Mountain is less steep
